Biography:
Mikhail Mikora was born in 1964 in Kiev, Ukraine. He attended the Republican Art School, Kiev, Ukraine from 1976 to1982, and the Kiev Art Academy, Department of Monumental Painting from 1982 to1990.
Mikhail often gets the inspiration for his works from the random impressions of his immediate environment, such as "a smell of paint, abstract combination of colors." The Jazz musician series is based on sketches taken at the Jazz club. It is one of the rare occasions when Mikhail uses reality as a starting point.
